Hello, everyone! I’m a native English speaker from the USA with C1 proficiency in Russian. I've been teaching on italki since 2018, but I started tutoring in 2016. I'm currently a school librarian during the day and a professional writing tutor at a college on some evenings. My favorite hobbies are reading, playing video games, traveling, and studying languages. I’m a friendly, open person that enjoys learning new things. I'm not currently accepting new students due to my busy schedule.Me as a Teacher
I have a bachelor’s degree in English, plus three master's degrees in peace and conflict studies, politics and public administration, and library science. Additionally, I'm TEFL/TESOL-certified.
I have regular experience with English language learners here on Italki as well as at my other jobs. I'm able to teach kids 10 years old and older, teens, and adults. I can teach students who have at least A2 proficiency. You can expect a friendly and positive atmosphere in my lessons. We're here to have fun!My lessons & teaching style
I primarily conduct informal lessons that focus on conversation practice, but I’m also able to teach a structured grammar course or check documents. In informal lessons, we can describe pictures, discuss a news article or book, or talk freely on a wide range of topics. I'm looking forward to seeing you in my lessons! 120-hour TEFL/TESOL Certificate - BridgeTEFL - 2021The 120-hour TEFL/TESOL certificate required 100 hours of core teacher training (40 hours of that were dedicated to a grammar review course, whereas 60 hours focused on other skills, such as: teaching methods for productive and receptive language skills, using visual aids, technology, and games, classroom management, and lesson planning). The remaining 20 hours were devoted to introductions to business English and teaching English to young learners.
