My name is Muhammed Trabelsi. I was born and raised in Tunisia. I'm a language teacher and translator. I graduated from university with a bachelor's degree in applied English. I've always believed in self-education as a gate to a deeper level of knowledge and expertise. I'm interested in human sciences in general and in IT technology as well. I love sharing my experience and being around people online and in person.

Me as a Teacher
I've always believed that teaching should be a part of my career because I love it and I believe in its value. Bringing the juice of my experience in learning and languages and using them as a powerful tool in real-life situations to negotiate, persuade, communicate and solve problems.
I'm constantly following new methods and tools for learning and teaching languages.
I'm a motivated, creative and knowledgeable teacher and my students always find my courses and discussions engaging and deep.
I'm a young teacher who can relate to the challenges which can face people in my generation to learn and speak a language, I can put my self in their shoes and help them.
My lessons & teaching style
Most of the times, my teaching style is informal although I'm obliged sometimes to follow a formal approach in specific cases. My lessons are tailored to the student's profile and needs.
Using the language instead of learning abstract knowledge and grammatical rules is the core of my methodology, focusing on delivering the meaning more than being obsessed with the correctness of the speech.
The lesson plans have to be effective and engaging otherwise, I try other activities, themes, materials, etc...
Encouraging the student, helping him to love the process rather than just chasing a goal, broadening his perspective on the importance of language and its benefits is a part of every lesson.

I’ve been taking classes with Muhammed for a couple of months now. For someone with no Arabic background, I feel like I’ve made huge progress in a short amount of time. His lessons are a perfect mix of challenging and validating, so you always feel challenged without feeling like it’s impossible. I am usually really anxious to make mistakes when I’m speaking a foreign language, and he’s the first teacher I’ve had in a very long time that makes me feel comfortable with making mistakes. He is also incredibly knowledgeable about the language structure, and how the Arabic language is tied in with culture — so you’re really also learning about a culture while you’re learning the language. He’s also an absolute delight to talk with about anything, and so kind and helpful. I am so happy to learn from him!

If you are looking for an Arabic Professor, look no further, Muhammad is the guy you need. He is patient, understanding, and genuine. The path he has curated to help you progress in your Arabic journey, is incredibly helpful. I would not have been able to make progress by myself, as I have made with Muhammad. What makes things much easier is that his English skills are unmatched. I truly think he speaks English better than most of us native speakers.
I recommend him to anyone at any level.

After more than two years now, it's always the same pleasure to study with Muhammed. His inalterable support, his kindness and his open-mindedness let me express myself with total freedom. We share point of view about tons of topics and I discover general Arabic culture and more precisely Tunisian culture. Muhammed is a very knowledgeable teacher, and he is always keen to use different ways and materials to make me developing my language through natural talks.

I don't leave a review every time because it would just be me saying Muhammed is the best over and over — but he really is the best language teacher I've ever had! I really enjoy lessons with him and feel like I'm learning a lot, and it's also so enjoyable to talk with him about all kinds of things.
