My name is Laura, and I'm 30 years old. I'm a native Spanish speaker, born and raised in Colombia. I love teaching and sharing my passion for foreign languages and cultures with others. Besides my native language, Spanish, I also speak English and French. I have been teaching on Italki for about four years. I learned languages by speaking with native speakers, so I understand what it's like to learn a new language and how challenging it can be. I'll do my best to assist you and help you improve :)Me as a Teacher

Every person is different, so everyone learns in a different way. We can explore what the best way for you to learn is, and I'll be more than glad to help you with any of your requests for learning my native language. If you are at a basic level, I'd like to make you feel comfortable, so you'll never feel rushed; we will start from the beginning. I'd like to provide you with tools to be able to speak and form sentences right from the start. If you already have some knowledge of the language, we will practice and review the topics you'd like to practice, also learn about the culture. If you want to iimprove your conversational skills, Laura's great. She's highly attentive, quickly recognizes when others want to speak, listens carefully, and asks good leading question. She also has a very pleasant personality.

Had my first lesson with Laura. I was looking for conversation practice. She was patient and kept the lesson flowing. She provided corrections without killing the conversation which is key when the goal is conversation. Thank you Laura!
