Hi everyone! I'm Josh, a native English speaker and fluent Mandarin speaker from Australia. I'm a TEFL qualified teacher and have years of teaching experience both online and offline. After a break from italki, I'm back teaching from late November 2024.
I'm an avid traveller. I love learning languages and about other cultures. As an Australian, I love spending time at the beach.

I'm a language learner myself, so I thoroughly understand the difficulties of learning another language and use this understanding to inform my teaching. I'm particularly adept at addressing common problems for Chinese speaking students given my knowledge of the Chinese language.
I'm an encouraging and patient teacher, who enjoys helping students overcome linguistic problems. I believe that lessons should revolve around my students, not myself. I tailor lessons to suit my students' needs and use a variety of resources.
我自己也热爱学习外语，因此我深入理解学习外语的困难，并将这种理解运用到我的教学中。鉴于我对中文的了解，我尤其擅长解决中国学生的常见问题。
