Karen from Colombia

Karen is one of the best teachers on Italki. She has experience teaching and it shows. Here classes are always very well planned and executed. She uses methods that work very well and I have seen a significant increase in my Spanish in the time that I have been taking classes with her. I would highly recommend taking classes with her.

Karen es una profesora increíble! An intelligent conversationalist who knows how to keep the discussion flowing, Karen is always positive, has a smile on her face, and makes each lesson engaging. She is well-prepared for every lesson, and you can tell she wants to help her students succeed. After only three lessons, I am already grateful to have found her! Try a lesson with her. You will be glad you did!

Another great lesson! Karen is an excellent teacher. She does a great job of organizing lessons to meet the student’s interests and goals. Topics for conversation practice are always relevant and comfortably push the limits of my vocabulary. She’s patient, allowing space for practice and mistakes, while providing corrections in a way that keeps conversation flowing and builds confidence. That balance isn’t always easy to find. Definitely recommend Karen if you’re looking for a Spanish teacher.

Karen is an amazing teacher, and more than that, a fabulously intelligent and fun person to have a conversation with! She has given me priceless direction in finding music, podcasts and lectures in Spanish that are stimulating and engaging, and provide fuel for our lessons that fly by.
