I’ve been teaching English and Irish for the last number of years at prestigious schools in Spain, Portugal and online. I've had students from all over including, Spain, Portugal, France, Brazil, Russia and China.

My students are made to feel comfortable and their confidence is built up right away in order to become proficient speakers whether they are complete beginners or intermediate level :) My best quality as a teacher is the ability to recognise individual needs and plan my classes accordingly so that every class is highly engaging for you! I have experience teaching Cambridge Exams, IELTS, iGCSE, IB Diploma and General English.

My lessons & teaching style

I use a wide range of materials such as articles, videos, music and other authentic resources which will help you to feel more confident when speaking English and Irish and will be sure to keep you fully engaged! ** PLEASE NOTE ** In keeping with italki's policy, you cannot cancel a lesson with less than 24 hours notice. I will wait 15 MINUTES for late students.

I think this is my 11th lesson with Kate and I continue to be very excited about learning Irish. The hour lesson just flies by with the magic of learning with a teacher who is so engaging and interested in sharing the love of the language. If you are thinking of learning, I would highly recommend Kate as she will meet you where you are and encourage your progress with the language. I continue to praise her as a brilliant and caring teacher.
