Hsu Jiayun

I love my classes with Jiayun. The times flies by and I always feel motivated after class. She readily adapts the class to my interests and has an impressive collection of resources to supplement the class. She is super kind and encouraging, as well as professional and organized. I am looking forward to progressing with my Mandarin.

Amazing teacher, who helped me a lot with my Mandarin. Skills and knowledge that Frances helps you to gain are invaluable. Frances loves her job and cares about the progress of her students. You'll start speaking Mandarin incredibly soon and your path to excellence will be fun and smooth. I highly and sincerely recommend Frances to everyone who wants to master this not-so-easy language.

After a few lessons with Jiayun, I can confidently say she is a great teacher. She prepares her materials well, makes great suggestions for learning, and is very enjoyable to talk to during the lesson. The lessons are great, as I get to practice words I've learnt in my self-study time, practice building my own, original sentences, and practice my pronunciation. Jiayun is encouraging and any mistake I make, or question I may have, she explains them well and makes it quite intuitive.

There are teachers that are simply good at speaking their mother tongue. Jiayun however is that kind of a teacher that knows every trick in the book. She literally knows every online tool and language smartphone app and she’s really trying to include new approaches of language learning. I enjoy her lessons a lot and it makes me feel a little awkward when she‘s better prepared than me 😳

Hsu JiaYun is a great listener. She helped me get a better understand of my actual current level in Chinese. I’m much more motivated to continue to cultivate my learning, I know I can use this lesson as a basis to improve. Highly recommend If you need someone to guide you on a learning plan.

After several lessons with Jiayun, I felt like I was struggling a little bit with this particular lesson. Despite that, Jiayun was very patient with me and began explaining concepts in different ways. I really appreciate her patience and her commitment to helping me grasp more abstract concepts.
