If you are looking for a great Korean teacher on italki, Dylan is the top choice! From the start, I felt comfortable and at ease in his classes. I built a solid foundation in the Korean language at a pace that was comfortable for me. Dylan takes time to make sure you understand the material and answers any questions you may have. I never felt discouraged or embarrassed in these classes. If I struggled with pronunciation, concepts, or word choice, Dylan would kindly explain things and steer me in the right direction so that I would understand. I was given plenty of options to practice concepts and speak both in class and on my own. This helped me develop confidence in my sentence construction and conversation skills. I feel like I am really understanding and progressing in learning Korean. I wouldn’t have been able to do that without his help so I am very thankful.

I cannot believe I have been studying with Dylan for over a year now! Studying with Dylan every lesson we do a new journal entry and this has been a great way to track my progress over the last year. My Korean has improved so much over the last year I cannot believe it. If you are thinking of booking a lesson with Dylan for either learning korean for the long term or just a few lessons you will not be disappointed! 선생님 explains everything in detail and is really complimentary during the lessons which helps greatly as I still feel like an 아기 trying to say their first words!! Will be booking more sessions with 딜런 and would recommend him as a 선생님 to anyone interested in learning 한국어

I have been studying Korean with Dylan for more than a year. I had no prior experience with an Asian language, and while I had learned other non-Roman alphabets for work reasons, I was truly at ground zero when we began. Dylan has patiently and methodically guided me from learning the alphabet to conjugating verbs in different tenses to forming simple sentences to reading elementary texts to improving my auditory processing. I appreciate Dylan's flexibility as some days he must pivot and review a previous grammar point with me rather than moving onto a new topic. I also admit to being a challenging student due to my age and profession yet he is always upbeat, professional, and prepared with engaging, structured, and creative lessons and homework.

I have been studying Korean with Dylan for six months now, and since lesson one, I have genuinely looked forward to each session. He makes learning Korean so approachable and enjoyable that I don’t even feel like I’m working hard!
