Hi, my name is Franziska. I´m a nomad at heart and a very passionate traveler. To me, language is key to immerse yourself in different cultures and really get to know the people you´re meeting. I was born and raised in Germany, so I know the culture by heart of course, and I lived, studied and worked in Australia for almost 7 years - which makes me a bit of an insider for Aussie culture as well. My goal is to bring people closer together and I´m trying to do so with my three most favorite hobbies... traveling, cooking and teaching.

I believe learning should be fun. I´m not a professional teacher but over the years I got quite a few opportunities to teach German and English for fun (sometimes, in Myanmar, for example, also for cookies...) and every single time it was a very special experience. To become an even better teacher I´m currently enrolled in a 6 months online TEFL (teaching English as a foreign language) course. I want you to reach the goals you´ve set for yourself and individualize every lesson to your needs. If you need to improve your reading and/or listening skills, for example, I can offer you reading material and audio files that will support you in doing so. In my lessons I will predominantly use the target language with you, so if you want to learn German, we´ll talk, write and learn in German, if it´s English, English, of course.
To me it is very important to get a feel for the language you want to learn and I believe learning by doing is the best approach. To keep it fun - tell me what topics are interesting to you and we´ll chat about that!My teaching material

I'm somewhere around the B1 level of German. I wanted to improve my active German communication skills (speaking/writing) and generally start to speak more confidently with natives. I shared my goals with the teacher and she understood them immediately and well. Fixing/correcting my mistakes and problems in real time, but at the same time the conversation is relaxed and on very different topics (which are interesting to me). I will definitely take more lessons with this teacher. Highly recommended if you want to improve your German! Relaxed, patient, patient, professional.
