Hey there! I'm from the United States. I taught English abroad for around two years and can speak three languages. I have many hobbies, including cooking, gardening, reading, cycling, and traveling. I'm a very cheerful and easy-going person. Every day, I wake up feeling happy and energetic! I'm so excited to teach you English!Me as a Teacher
I'm the ELL (English Language Learners) Program Coordinator at a refugee resettlement agency in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. I have a CELTA certification, which qualifies me to teach English to all speakers of other languages.
I taught at an after-school English center for children (ages 4-14) in Hanoi, Vietnam, for a year. Later, I designed and taught free classes to kids in the rural Nghệ An province (in the open air!)
I taught English for 6.5 months at an institute in Cusco. I have experience teaching all English learners, from basic to fluent, teenagers to adults. I also taught ESL to Latino migrants in Minneapolis as a volunteer.My lessons & teaching style
I believe students learn most efficiently when they're actively engaged and having fun during the lesson. I make my lessons as interactive as possible. My lessons are very functional, so we'll learn things that you'll use every day. I'm very patient and an effective communicator.
My teaching philosophy is - be confident, have fun, and don't be afraid of mistakes. We learn through our errors, as I've learned countless times while studying foreign languages!

I appreciate your material preparation as well as your great lessons, I love part of the chit-chat when I can practice using present or past tense and conversation cards.
I think you can save time for your preparation if we just find 2-3 activities and spend more time with them.
I learn lots of new vocabulary and various natural ways to express my thoughts through our conversations. Thank you for always remembering to correct my pronunciation.
