Hanako

Hanako-san was amazing! She was super flexible and open to me sending over specific topics I wanted to work on, which made our session really engaging. During our speaking practice, she helped me recognize and understand keigo in a way that felt approachable and not overwhelming. She’s a great conversational partner who makes learning feel natural and fun. I’d definitely recommend her to anyone looking to improve their Japanese in a relaxed and supportive environment!

I had a great first lesson with Hanako! She is very patient, kind, and encouraging, making it easy to practice speaking without feeling rushed or interrupted. She explains things clearly in English when needed and ensures that I can finish my thoughts, which really helps with confidence. For future lessons, I think having a clearer plan going in will help maximize our time together, but I see that as something I can work on as well. She also has experience with the Genki textbooks, so I imagine she’d be especially great for learners using those. Overall, a very positive experience, and I’m looking forward to more lessons!
