I am a family guy: have two kids, a dog and a beautiful wife. I love to write and to teach. I like comics, music, movies and videogames. Yup, I am a nerd. I have some blue ribbons on writing: poetry, journalist articles, and the sort.
I have two grades (Journalist and Philology) and three master grades.
One limitation, to avoid misunderstandings, I only teach adults now.Me as a Teacher
Teaching is a late calling for me.
In July, 2010, I obtained the Master in Teaching (Bolonia endorsed). I had been a support teacher in Middle and High Schools, an English teacher in Spain and a teacher of Spanish abroad (a year and a half in Norway as a ‘spansklærer’), and this year I was offered the chance to become a teacher in the Spanish Department in the Southern Federal University at Rostov on Don (Yu-Fu).
Tough as I said I had experience teaching kids and youngsters, right now I dont want to have this kind of students and less if it is unannounced and without giving me the chance to decide if I want them or not (two experiences of the sort lately)My lessons & teaching style
A language is something beyond grammar and spelling. It is the Culture (and the culture) of its people, it is to learn to understand how 45 million Spaniards and over 400 million people all over the world live and think and relate to each other. I want to open this world to my students. Therefore I will offer them a journey through Spanish history, arts, and societyto raise their imagination and feed their minds. A most rewarding occupation.
I adapt my lessons to my pupils/students, I focus on a conversation-based approach, but I can also teach grammar and vocabulary. If you have any material that you need to discuss, I am willing to work it out with you.My teaching material

Eloquence and richness of the language lies in literature, debate, street slangs and much more. For me, it is importance to have a teacher that is out of the box of standardized textbooks and provides a multidisciplinary view to life and the world. It’s a great honor to work with such a brilliantly demanding and fun teacher who l believe will take my love of the Spanish language (as a nostalgia to the heart) to a new level. Muchas gracias !

Rafa is an experienced and fantastic teacher and had a good balance of conversation practise and help on grammar etc.

The teacher was talking to much. I hat to interrupt him several times as he is very loquacious. When I book conversation-lession I expect that I talk most of the time while the teacher listens carefully to correct me, and not to tell me other stories.
