Hi! My name is Charles, I am a native Italian speaker and I live in a small town near Milan.
After finishing my thesis internship in April 2024, I obtained my Master's degree in Automation and Control Engineering at Politecnico of Milan.
Now I'm working as an automation engineer near Milan
I love travelling, meeting new people and new cultures, playing the piano and also reading.Me as a Teacher
The first thing to keep in mind about me is: I'm your tutor, which means I'm not here to judge you, but to help you and guide you! I want you to feel at ease and most of all to enjoy our time together.
As I see it, learning a foreign language is an experience, it's not only about reaching fluency but it's also about learning more about cultures, getting out of your comfort zone and expand your horizons.My lessons & teaching style

We can improve listening and speaking by discussing, or we can practice for your writing and reading skills with different activities and then evaluate what you've learned if it's necessary.
We can either choose the topic of our conversation together or you can propose a topic each time and then prepare the lesson or just chit chat about ourselves.My teaching material

Charles is by far the most engaging and effective Italian tutor I have used here on iTalki. He is incredibly organized and comes prepared with an array of exercises and activities that complement my learning goals. In between lessons, he sends me Italian expressions and phrases that keep me engaged and he is incredibly fun to interact with. I am excited to continue with my Italian language journey with Charles and I cannot recommend him enough! Grazie mille, Charles!

After 50 lessons I can honestly say that I have learnt a ton of things from Charles. He is organized and very methodical and we advance steadily. We rotate through a variety of topics. In each lesson there is some new vocabulary and some grammar. I prepare my questions from news articles or videos which he answers. It is the perfect balance of variety and consistency for me. I feel happy to have found such a teacher.
