¡Soy docente de Lengua y Literatura y me encanta enseñar! En mi corta experiencia enseñando español a extranjeros he observado la importancia de siempre incluir aspectos culturales sobre los países donde se habla español. Me gusta la música, cantar, tocar el piano, la guitarra, leer, cocinar, dormir y viajar. He vivido en tres países hispanohablantes, de modo que puedo enseñarte curiosidades interesantes sobre estos. ¡Únete a mis clases!

Como profesora, soy una persona que no teme innovar. Me gusta enseñar a través de la literatura porque nos da temas de conversación, a la vez que nos permite profundizar y ampliar en temas relacionados con la cultura hispanohablante.
As a teacher i'm not afraid to try new things. I like to teach through literature because it gives us conversational topics and allows us to know more about spanish language and culture.

Mi metodología se centra en ti como estudiante. En ese sentido, todas las decisiones que tomo, pienso en primera instancia en tus necesidades e intereses. Propongo actividades y contenido que sea relevante para ti, así como para tus inquietudes en torno a la lengua española. Me gusta aprovechar cada oportunidad para explorar los aspectos culturales del lenguaje.
I use a student centered methodology. It means that every decision made, looks to fit your needs and interests. I usually propose practical content and exercises to answer your concerns towards Spanish language. Also, I'll take advantage of every chance I have to explore cultural aspects of language with you.My teaching material

Bachelor’s - Lingüística y sociolingüística del españolLicenciatura en Letras. Enfoque en literatura occidental, crítica literaria y lingüística general. Mi especialización fue en sociolingüística del español en su variedad venezolana. Ello me puso en contacto, desde el principio, con la relevancia de tomar en cuenta las variedades del español como un punto de partida para entendernos mejor.

I am very happy with my classes with Rut. She does a great job of preparing materials for our classes, that work as prompts for starting conversations. At the same time she is flexible, and lets our conversation go off on interesting tangents. There are a lot of great Spanish teachers on Italki (and elsewhere), but Rut is a cut above. She is particularly skilled at identifying your strengths and weaknesses, and adapting lessons to your level and needs. As an intermediate-ish level speaker who forgot a lot of what I learned in school long ago, I struggled with knowing how it approach studying, but Rut has helped immensely. I definitely recommend her to anyone looking to improve their Spanish.
