My name is Emma and I am a Canadian English teacher. I decided to become an English teacher to support myself after moving to Spain. I quickly realised that I was passionate about the profession as it fits perfectly with my interests in travel, different cultures, and history. I am patient and friendly and love seeing my students progress in their language-learning journeys. My students have been very happy with our classes and I am delighted to have so many regulars. I am a student of languages myself (Spanish, French, and Portuguese), and I have also completed a certificate in Intercultural Communication.Me as a Teacher
I like to use conversation-style teaching, with an emphasis on grammar usage and proper syntax. I want students to gain higher confidence in their English-speaking by gaining familiarity with common expressions, idioms, phrasal verbs, and by growing their vocabulary. I think we are most motivated to learn when we can instantly understand the context in which presented target language or theory belongs, therefore I make a point to emphasize real world and day to day usage of English.My lessons & teaching style
I offer classes in English that focus on conversation, expressions for everyday use, grammar, and cultural knowledge.
