About Me

Hi everyone! My names is Andrea, I'm from Asuncion, Paraguay. I moved to New York in 2016. I love learning about people's culture and teaching them about mine as well. I also love sports, outdoors activities and learning new skills. I'm currently learning Italian, chess and guitar and I'm studying Psychology.

Me as a Teacher

I know what it takes to learn a new language because I went through the process myself. I want to share tips that helped me learn and master a second language. As a teacher, I’m very patient, flexible and committed to my task.

My lessons & teaching style

I know we all have different learning processes, and we want to improve different skills (grammar, speaking, pronunciation, get ready for a test, casual conversations, traveling, etc). So, I adapt my teaching methods according to the students' needs.

I've really been enjoying my lessons with Andrea. We do general conversation practice, often talking about things that have happened in my life. She lets me know if I'm making mistakes and she writes down words I didn't know, so I'm learning a lot of vocabulary that's actually relevant to me. She's very good at asking questions and keeping the conversation going, and I'm looking forward to many more conversations with her.
