Hi, I am Liang. I'm from Beijing, China. Chinese is my native language, and I speak English too. I studied Language Interpretation and Linguistics in university and after graduation, I went to the US to work as an English Chinese Business Interpreter in 2006. Having stayed and worked in the US for 8 years, I came back to Beijing in 2014 and enrolled the Post-College Training Program for Teachers. From there, I graduated with the Certificate of Teaching Chinese as a Second Language.
In the past 10 years, I have been teaching Chinese both online and offline. Currently I do lessons on italki, and I also work as the top-star teacher for one of the biggest local language schools here in Beijing.
Me as a Teacher
I started to think about making a career change to become a Chinese teacher when one of my clients in the US invited me to teach her 8-year-old son basic Mandarin Chinese. As the teaching went on, I felt like I found out what I truly love to do. The story of me being a Chinese teacher just started from there.
My lessons & teaching style
About my lessons. Either you are a zero-level complete beginner of Chinese, or you have already taken some courses and have already reached intermediate or advanced level, I'd say my lessons would still provide the kind of help you need.
In my lessons, I could help you with your Chinese Listening and Speaking, Pronunciation, Vocabulary and Grammar. If you are preparing for an HSK Test, I'd be more than happy to help you with it. And with my years of business interpretation working experience, I just can't wait to share the Business Chinese with you.
I'll be really happy if you could book my lessons, and I hope they would be helpful for your Chinese learning. Thank you so much!

Hi Liang! I’ve been learning Putonghua with you for one year already! Each time, I saw your effort on preparing the discussion topics for me! I don’t have so much opportunity to speak Putonghua in my daily life, but your lessons motivate me to speak and practice more in order to reach my goals. Thank you so much and see you next month!

Great lesson with Liang Wang. He is very professional and experienced. We talked about declining birthrates in the US and China, some of their causes and things governments are doing in response. Just the right mix of familiar and new vocabulary for me. Looking forward to more lessons soon.
