As a teacher, I believe that learning a new language is not just about memorizing vocabulary and grammar rules, but it's also about exploring the culture, traditions, and lifestyle of the people who speak the language. That's why I always incorporate Vietnamese culture and customs into my lessons, so my students can gain a deeper understanding and appreciation of Vietnam and its people.
My approach to teaching is dynamic and personalized. I believe that every student has their own unique learning style and needs, so I tailor my lessons to meet those needs. I've been learning with Chris for 2 years & just had my last session with him before I go to Vietnam. I'm now confident I'm going to do fine. Chris did a great job keeping me motivated, keeping me accountable & helped by explaining things clearly. He kept things fun & caring as a teacher with such a human & friendly approach. And he's always willing to try new things & think outside-of-the-box so things never get boring & he has a good sense of humour.
I'm a lazy learner, I'll admit that, but I've probably hit around B1/B2 with him (untested). He's given great travel advice & support too, with ideas & suggestions for the kinds of things I like. And we have great conversations both in English & Vietnamese.
