Julien is truly a master in the art of teaching languages, particularly for those looking to communicate effectively and with fluidity in the real world. I have had numerous French teachers online and in person, and, like other reviewers have stated, Julien is the best. I have taken over 40 hours of classes with Julien, and I feel very lucky to have found him. Julien is prepared, professional, patient, and a genuinely very cool person. He engages me in conversations about a wide variety of interesting topics, holds me to high standards without being overly prescriptive, and corrects my errors in grammar, pronunciation, etc. immediately. Julien is flexible with his schedule and clearly loves teaching and interacting with people from around the world. I struck gold by finding a teacher like Julien and highly recommend him to others.

I am so glad that I found Julien on iTalki. I have worked with a few teachers, but he is by far the best! He provides excellent guidance and clear, understandable answers to my questions. As someone who was a first timer and had never had a "real" conversation in French, I was initially pretty apprehensive about speaking. Julien helped me feel at ease on day one and, after more than a dozen lessons together, I've definitely felt way more comfortable. He's always prepared (even when I feel like I'm not!) and has a ton of ready-to-go resources for every lesson. While there's often planned pedagogy to target specific weak points, we can also dive into spontaneous conversation. I appreciate that he can pivot and pick up on subtle cues to figure out when to intervene versus letting me productively struggle for a bit, a crucial teaching skill, but not something everyone executes well. Anyway, si vous voulez progresser en français avec une bonne structure, tout en vous amusant, je vous le recommande fortement!
