About Me

Hello, I'm Adam, I'm from the UK and I teach English on italki! I was born in the North West of England - near to Liverpool - and I have a Northern accent. I am a journalist so I am used to speaking to different people and asking questions. I am very curious and like to find out about other cultures and countries. I also love sport, films and music.

Me as a Teacher

I teach all levels, from beginners to advanced. I have particular experience of helping people from Asia learn English, after a lot of time travelling across the continent. However, I am happy to teach people from across the world!

My lessons & teaching style

I am very encouraging and aim to make my lessons easy going and fun. I'll ask lots of questions, allow you time to answer and discuss any areas that need improvement. I am very patient and understand how difficult it is to learn a language (I am trying to learn Spanish) so I will take my time and help you.

When I saw the introduction video of Adam I was already convinced that he is the right teacher for me. My feelings feelings were confirmed after the first lesson. Adam is a great listener and asking good questions. Besides that he is a very friendly person and have a interesting background since he has worked for the BBC in the UK. Do you want to have interesting conversations with a person who makes speaking English comfortable for you? I really recommend Adam!
