I'm Lilia, I am a linguist and languages are my passion. I have a BA in Greek Philology and an MA in Linguistics. I worked on Greek as an author of grammar books and dictionaries, as a translator or as a researcher, and I have a good mastery of the language, its grammar, and the nuances of its vocabulary. I also love teaching others so they can find a better job, enjoy their holidays, or learn about another culture.Me as a Teacher
I will listen to your use of the Greek language and offer advice or I can leave it to you to decide what you want to learn and how. I will strive to share my love for Greek to keep your motivation high, which is number one in language learning, do you agree? I will give you tips what to say and what not, share stories, listen to songs, read literature, talk about this and that, etc. I believe that teaching is a highly rewarding profession as you see your students grow and become more confident day by day. ** Sorry, I do not teach kids or teenagers.My lessons & teaching style
I combine image, sound, and script so the student has a comprehensive approach to language. I try to bring different materials every time so the lesson is not boring. I always ask what the student likes and how they prefer to learn - although sometimes they are not sure so I experiment. With beginners, I teach slowly, with lots of repetition. With intermediate students, I try to enrich their vocabulary with various texts and work on their grammar. With advanced students, I discuss whatever they like, from politics to poetry. I love Greek and I try to make it easy for everyone.My teaching material

Lilia is a great teacher and I’ve learned so much from her, after a couple of lessons I can read and create basic sentences in Greek to describe my day. I still have a lot to learn but she’s very patient with my questions, she knows so much and explains carefully, gives fun examples and homework to keep me learning and practicing. I’m so happy learning from her.

I have a great time learning with Lilia, the explanations and the examples are abundant. The lessons flow easily from the subject matter to specific questions I sometimes have and back to the lesson again. Lilia has a very rich body of knowledge and her take on languages is dynamic. Lilia has also a very good sense of humor, which makes learning with her fun and light. I can warmly recommend Lilia as a Greek language teacher.
