Hello! Bonjour ! I'm Laura. I'm from London, UK, but I have been living in France, and learning French, for around 6 years now.
I am passionate about teaching all ages of learners, and also teach yoga and meditation. In another life, I was a project manager (for national healthcare education projects in London, UK.) I managed a team of 15 people, developed training courses and interviewed for new team members.
In my spare time I enjoy renovating my old farmhouse, practicing yoga, reading, travelling, cooking good food, psychology, running and hiking.Me as a Teacher
I am friendly, patient, encouraging and adapt classes to my students levels, needs and interests.
I love talking about, and teaching, a wide variety of subjects, exploring different topics with you and learning from your interests too.
I believe that as a teacher, my role is to open doors to understanding - I will guide you, help you to discover the answer, and then give you the time and space to practice what you have learnt.

Classes are flexible and completely made for you. They can be relaxed and informal, more structured, or a mixture of both. Because some days we want to free talk, and some days we don't!
Our first lesson will be an introduction so that I can better understand your goals, interests and reasons for learning English, and we can discuss a plan for your learning success.

English tutorI teach English to private students online via Zoom. These classes are one to one, and are planned exclusively for each student according to their level and needs. I develop custom made curriculums for students and provide feedback and learning objectives.
2019 - Current
English tutor for adults, teenagers and childrenI currently tutor with an American based, online language platform and have taught over 6250 lessons with them to students from around the world. I have 100% positive reviews and have taught 460 students since I began in 2019, showing that I have a great retention rate of students.

Bachelor’s - Psychology BSc (hons)My degree focussed on Neuropsychology in it's final year. I am fascinated with how our behaviour and understanding of the world is processed in the brain, and how we can use this knowledge to better understand our actions and reactions, and, of course, how we learn.

My experience consists of free conversation, structured goal based lessons including grammar classes and business English and interview coaching. In addition, I teach structured and semi-structured lessons for children and teenagers and develop and deliver personalised curriculums for young learners.

Project ManagerI worked as a Project Manager in a University, within the sector of Medical Education. I managed a team of 15 people, organised, developed and lead training courses and worked on national projects, increasing the quality of medical education standards in England.
