I'm a literary translator and teacher with a passion for helping people reach their goals! I tailor each and every course for my students, to make sure it provides what they need and keeps them motivated. We'll assess your learning style and your goals in our first meeting and we can adjust along the way if something changes or doesn't work as promised. I have experience with students of different ages and educational backgrounds and I can adapt to your circumstances and teach you how to reach your full potential.
Disclaimer: if you book a lesson and don't attend, you still occupy a slot of my time, so I will usually demand payment for the missed lesson. Exceptions are sometimes made for long-time students in case of emergencies. My lessons & teaching style
I provide the materials for our lessons myself, or we can find a suitable book for your level if you so desire. Typically, I try to find content related to your interests, job or studies online to minimize the expanse outside your lessons and keep it interesting. Teaching style changes with every student, depending on their learning style; what stays the same is my dedication to keeping the lesson friendly, informal and upbeat. A positive attitude and respectful environment go a long way! I might be a teacher but I'm not here to mark your papers, we are on this journey together.My teaching material

Fely is really good at giving impromptu examples to help illustrate and explain a new grammatical concept, which is not easy to do. If I see something I haven't seen before, I can ask her to explain it, even if it is not the main focus of the homework--she is willing to spend as much time as necessary to explain this new thing. I also am able to ask her how to say certain basic phrases or constructions, while I'm talking and realizing that I never learned how to say these, which is another good way of learning, even if it causes a lot of detours from the main point of the lesson.

Fely is very helpful with grammar, which I need, but also lets me talk and go off script a little bit--not too much--so that I can try out the grammar in a short conversation that is of interest to me, which really helps me refresh vocabulary and practice new grammar and vocab.
