The students who benefit from my classes copy and paste the notes and materials I send them into their own documents. I notice the most improvement in students who refer to these notes and materials when speaking in subsequent lessons. Students who improve most often come to lessons with pre-prepared questions about something they have heard in a film/TV show or read in a book/article.
