About Me

Hi there, I am Natalie. I come from Beijing, China and I’m currently a second year under-graduate student studying finance at Lancaster university in the UK. I was born in Beijing and lived here for over 20 years so I speak fluent and standard mandarin. I also lived and studied in the UK for 3 years.

Me as a Teacher

I helped my British friends learn mandarin and Chinese culture and then I felt like it was such a happy thing to teach and help others, so I decided to become a community tutor on italki.

My lessons & teaching style

I fully understand how difficult and how much of a struggle learning a new language is so I would love to help. And I think the best way to practice and improve is to talk to native speakers, so my lessons will be mainly using mandarin but I can also explain in English if you find it hard to understand. And the topic in our lessons will be based on your preference and needs. Finally, I think I’m a very friendly and easy going person and I’m always willing to help, so please feel free to talk to me and ask me anything you don’t know about the language.
