Hello! I am Rachel, I am 21 years old! I'm currently furthering my studies in Hong Kong!
I grew up speaking Cantonese and English (IELTS 8.0) with my family and friends, and also Mandarin since primary school, therefore I am fluent in a native level for all three languages! Since studying for my first Bachelor's degree previously in UCL, I have met loads of people from all over the world, and was exposed to different kinds of languages, hence kindling my interest in language learning, I am now learning French and aim to speak in a fluent manner.
Besides from this, I also LOVE reading books, sports, listening to music, and playing instruments!
Me as a Teacher
My experiences in language learning allowed me to understand the challenges in it (eg adapting to a native speaker's pace and words etc), it has also honed me to be an extremely patient person that won't give up easily. Besides, I have also volunteered to tutor people with special needs and also in Summer school in China. I would like to combine all my experiences to help, and share my experiences and love for language learning to you.
因为我有学习外语的经验（我现在正在学习法语），所以我明白要学习另外一种语言的难处，也训练了我的忍耐力，不会轻而放弃。除此之外，我也曾经做过义工补习老师，所以我有耐心并且懂得如何去解释一些比较复杂的概念。我希望我能够利用我的经验和对学习语言的兴趣，感染你去喜欢学习不同的语言。My lessons & teaching style
In my lessons, I will tailor make the classes to your level and pace. I can provide materials (eg powerpoint slides, homework, IELTS speaking practice questions etc) for you to practice and learn.
I will also guide you in conversations, correct your pronunciation, analyze news articles, teach you new words to increase your vocabulary repertoire, and allow you to speak in a more confident manner. I will also provide you with my contact so you can ask me questions anytime!
我的课堂会因应你的水平而定，我也准备了不同的简报、雅思口语练习题目、声频等让你练习。在课堂当中，我也会尽量用你想学的语言跟你沟通，又或者是跟你一起分析一篇新闻报道，让你慢慢习惯以这种语言去思考和说话，于此增加你的词汇，让你说话时更有自信。My teaching material

Rachel is super amazing. She's very intelligent and patient. Normally I'm the person who don't leave any comments, but she what she has done really touches me and helps me a lot. I studied with her for almost a year, and I still remember at that time I was so unconfident about speaking. Even just small chat, I have to ask the expression for many words. With her help, I successfully passed two exams and I'm also more confident with the following challenges I may have. Book her class and you will appreciate it!!

Rachel is extremely smart and patient. She knows how to make things easy for the beginners and she is very well prepared. It could be a bit awkward for beginners to learn foreign languages but Rachel made her lessons fun and relaxing. I feel lucky to have her as my first Italki partner. Responsible and decorous.
