Dear students,
I am teaching Czech in an intensive course at the University from 9 September - 20 September 2024. Unfortunately, I can not give lessons on italki on these days. From 23 September 2024 onwards, my regular fixed schedule and the days I am available for our lessons will be available. I look forward to seeing you :)
Hello and welcome to my profile! My name is Jana, I am from beautiful Prague and I will be happy to help you learn or improve your Czech.
I've always loved learning languages and knowing people from different cultures and countries.
Traveling, hiking, cycling, reading and dancing are just a few of my other passions. I'm talkative and love to meet new people.Me as a Teacher

I have been working as a public university teacher of Czech for foreigners over 18 years. I also worked in language schools and I have a lot of experience with one on one lessons. My students have been from all over the world.My lessons & teaching style
My methodology is based on a communicative approach. I teach my students to start implementing new grammar and vocabulary in speaking and it helps them keep the obtained knowledge in active and long-term memory. However, every student is different and I adapt to you. Do not hesitate to tell me what works and what does not work for you to have an effective class. I prefer to work in a friendly and open environment, so let’s be open and enjoy our class together.My teaching material

Yana is the best teacher I have had in my life.
She is very talented, loves language very much and is incredibly charming and pleasant. Each lesson flies by with interactive exercises and conversations. The quality of Yana’s preparation for lessons is beyond praise, you can feel the vast experience behind her. She carefully approaches homework checking, analyzing all mistakes, and knows the individual needs and approach to each of the students.
