If like me you are learning Spanish and have tried a lot of tutors on this app , you will appreciate this review !
So I have some really good tutors on italki some are great for grammar and some for conversation.
However very few have both qualities and this is what you will get from Vanessa.
In my opinion very few teachers here have the ability to teach you grammar and then make you use it without you even realising.
Trust me folks take a few classes with her and then thank me later.
Since I started taking classes with her I feel my confidence growing rapidly due to the relaxed atmosphere that she creates, and this in turn has taken the struggle and the worry about how quickly I am progressing and replaced it with a new found enjoyment for the Spanish language.
My biggest worry now is that too many students are going to find all this out for themselves and it will make it more difficult to book a class with her.

I continue to love my classes with Vanessa. In every class we dive into a relevant social topic (e.g., today we talked about depression, in our last class we talked about fake news) that's connected to my personal and professional interests. Vanessa always comes with a series of thought-provoking questions that keep us talking, and I really enjoy the conversations we have. She does a great job of understanding what I'm trying to express and providing the vocabulary or phrasing that I'm missing, which has helped me to learn a lot of thematic vocabulary in a very short time.
