Misato

Misato sensei is an excellent teacher. I've been taking lessons with her for quite some time and have nothing but good experiences. Her classes are well structured. She is excellent at explaining japanese grammar and cultural context. She is very good at engaging with students to get the most out of their japanese. I would highly recommend her!

Misato is a truly amazing teacher. very structured, fun but necessary strict. I feel comfortable and with each lesson I feel I understand more and more. I 100% would advise to follow her tutelage. :)

My son loves his lessons with Misato-sensei. She is very patient, systematic and thorough with all her lessons. My son learns reading, writing, conversation and listening all in one lesson, each and every time. Misato-sensei also has homework to reinforce knowledge, and she always reviews so he does not forget easily -- always a good lesson with her! Arigatou gozaimasu, Misato-sensei!!

I took 5 classes from Misato-sensei as an adult learner (she is also my son's teacher), and I have learned a lot from her. She always taught in a very organized way so we can accomplish a lot. She encourages conversation to expand on the topic to make it more fun and understandable. I appreciate how she can explain many different things in such a simple way entirely in Japanese language. I highly recommend her lessons!!

I took 5 classes from Misato-sensei as an adult learner (she is also my son's teacher) and as I already know, she is an excellent teacher!! Her lessons are very systematic, and I was able to learn surprisingly a lot in such a short amount of time. She taught from Marugoto book but also explain grammar beyond the book. She always set aside time for free conversation, which I appreciate. She strikes the right balance between keeping the conversation flowing and correcting, I was able to converse with her without any worry. Finally, she is very skillful in explaining things, often in very short words, and all in Japanese. If I have time, I would love to take more of her classes in the future. みさと先生、いろいろ教えてくださってありがとうございました。

My son has been taking lessons from Misato-sensei for almost 4 years. He started from zero. Just this weekend, we hosted a Japanese student at our home, who speaks very little English. I was amazed on how much my son could communicate with the student entirely in Japanese!! He explained to the student how to get items around our house, about his hobby and other things during sight-seeing and eating out. No doubt that his Japanese ability is much improved due to his lessons with Misato-sensei. Misato-sensei always encourages my son to talk about how his day was and other things he is interested in in the beginning of the class, entirely in Japanese. She rarely (if ever) uses English, so my son is always used to hearing Japanese. Misato-sensei is one of the best Japanese teacher in italki and I highly recommend her! みさと先生ありがとうございました。
