About Me

I was born in South Africa, but currently call Ireland my home. I am a mother, a wife, a daughter, a sister, a friend and many other things, but importantly I am also an online English teacher. I love travelling and have had the opportunity to travel to quite a few countries. I still have many countries that I would like to visit someday and would love hearing about the countries all of you are from. I really enjoy cooking especially with my daughter. I have had many different jobs in many different industries from entry level to management. I love working with people and using my communication and interpersonal skills.Me as a Teacher
I am a qualified TEFL and TESOL teacher. I have been teaching online for three years. I have also passed home education with distinction. I have completed two modules in Early Childhood Education and am a mother to two beautiful children. I feel that my qualifications, coupled with my life experience and the fact that English is my native tongue, will equip me to be a really good teacher. I teach students of all ages, from as young a three to students who are already retired. I tailor my lessons to suit my students' individual needs. I don't specialize in a particular area of English. However, I particularly enjoy conversation practice. I am passionate about teaching English.My lessons & teaching style
I believe that learning should be fun, regardless of your age. I believe that you are never too old or too young to learn. I believe that the more senses you engage when learning something, the more you retain. My approach to teaching English would be to teach you to fish, not to give you a fish for dinner, by teaching you to fish, I am teaching you how to have meals for the rest of your life. I believe that I cannot correct you, if I cannot connect with you. My aim is to teach you English which is a valuable skill whilst having as much fun as possible.My teaching material
