Hi, my name is Concetta and I am graduated in Conservation and Restoration at the Academy of Fine Arts in Turin. I was a restorer for the first years after the university and then I worked in a Museum of Contemporary Art. Art has always been my greatest passion. I have traveled a lot and lived in different places including the United States, where I spent ten years and currently live in the Netherlands. I am a creative person who loves to experiment and therefore in addition to art, I love reading, watching movies, cooking and I am very fascinated by Japanese culture.Me as a Teacher
I taught Italian for two years at the America-Italy Society of Philadelphia, an association that promotes Italian culture and teaching Italian in the United States.
This experience has allowed me to discover not only the pleasure of teaching but also to learn about aspects of different cultures through dialogue and interaction with students.
Since I found myself in the position of having to learn a new language, I am well aware of the kind of problems or uncertainties that can arise. My empathy often suggests to me the best approach to follow. Judgment is the only word we will not adopt in our conversations.My lessons & teaching style
My lessons will focus mainly on conversation and vocabulary enrichment. I prefer to plan a program together with the student, according to their requests and expectations.
Very often from a simple conversation you can draw ideas to clarify and enrich both the grammatical aspect of a language and the cultural aspects of it.My teaching material
