Nice to meet you! π I'm μ±μ (Chaeeun) or Celia (μ€λ¦¬μ).
I was born and bred in South Korea, but I'm living in the UK from middle school onwards.
Fortunately I was able to travel since young age and met many good friends along the way.
In 2021, I decided to teach Korean on Italki because I wanted to connect with people who appreciate Korean culture, and help them learn the language.
I find Korean to be a fascinating due to its rich expressions.
I hope that through learning Korean, you can broaden your horizons in your own unique way!Me as a Teacher
π€ I am a friendly and approachable tutor, and you are welcome to ask me any questions you have.
π I am very organised with my class notes. Every after class you will receive a class note file including vocabulary, expression, grammar and pronunciation points covered in the class.
π€πΌ I am a fluent English speaker and studied Spanish as my high school subject. I have a rich amount of cultural experience and knowledge.
π³ I am passionate to help my students stay curious and be open minded. This is the key area that I work on as a tutor.My lessons & teaching style
Conversation lessons
- Let's learn Korean through conversation with a native. I will make sure we have conversation in Korean with comfort, without anxiety.
- Conversation topics could include but not limited to your hobbies, daily life, Korean history and culture, pop culture, news, travel, relationships
Textbook lessons
- Upon student's requests / teacher's recommendations, we could use textbooks (Sejong, Vitamin Korean, TTMIK etc.) and online materials (videos, news articles, children's book).
- I provide lesson notes π
Every after lesson, I will send you my self-made feedback form with new vocabularies, grammar, expression and Korean culture, so that you can archive what you learned.My teaching material
