Ciao! I am Raffaella. I'm Italian, and I live in Rome. However, I spent several periods abroad in Spain and Germany to study and work. I speak Spanish, English, and a bit of German. I also studied Latin and Ancient Greek.
I have many passions and interests, so I like to talk about many different topics, such as society, cross-cultural differences, music, cinema, literature, personal growth, nature and environment, and, as an art graduate, the history and art of Italy and beyond!
I love reading, doing sports and yoga, listening to music, going to the movies and theater ... and many other things :)Me as a Teacher
I am a certified teacher. I obtained the CEDILS certification from the University Ca' Foscari of Venice and I have experience with one-to-one lessons both in-person and online, with adults of many nationalities and with teenagers and children.
I studied at the "Liceo Classico" (studying Italian literature, Latin and ancient Greek language and literature, art and artistic restoration) . Then I studied "Art history" at the University "La Sapienza" of Rome.
In addition, I obtained a master's degree in “Teaching Italian to Foreigners.”
I have experience in courses of preparation of CILS exams and I am also certified as a CILS exam administrator.My lessons & teaching style
Normally my lessons are tailored to the needs of individual students.
I prefer a communicative method, based on the use of language and its communicative functions.
In any case, we can decide whether to focus on grammar, conversation, or other needs.
We can also consider purchasing a book in addition to the materials I will send you during and after each class.
During my classes, you can practice spoken language and its pronunciation, listening and reading comprehension, and every aspect of the Italian language (and culture, if you want!).My teaching material
