Hello there! I was away for about a year working at a school but now I'm back on italki! Come be my student! It would be a pleasure to have you!
My name is Anna and I am originally from Oregon, USA. I live in Spain and I have been teaching English here since 2006. I got my English teaching certificate (CELTA) from Clic International House in Seville, Spain. Before that, I studied in San Francisco and San Diego, California, and finished my Bachelor's degree in Hispanic Studies at Lewis & Clark College in Portland, Oregon. I studied abroad (for Spanish) for one semester in Santiago, Chile, and for a summer in Florence, Italy (for Italian). I hope I can help you. Write me!Me as a Teacher
I have been teaching English since 2006. I have worked in language academies, in bilingual schools, and also as a private one-to-one teacher. I have worked with students as young as 6 months, to older adults, and every age in between. Cambridge levels A1-C2. My teaching is always based on the student's needs and their learning styles. With our goals clearly set for the student's English learning, I tailor the class to each student. Methodologies are numerous and at our fingertips. Assessing the student is fundamental and catering to their situation is key to success. Feel free to write me with any questions or concerns! I have learned many different types of methodologies through the years, yet first I get to know my student and see how they learn best. If you are more comfortable tackling a textbook, we can do that. If you like something more interactive with prompts, conversations, games, or project-related real-life missions, we can do that. Together we'll make a plan for you to incorporate English into your daily life. That may sound a bit overwhelming at first, but there are lots of ways to make sure you're getting English in a constant flow and finding ways to use it. Bachelor’s - Hispanic Studies and Minor in Latin American StudiesIt may seem that strange that it took me seven years to finish my Bachelor's. Let me explain. I started in 1996 in San Francisco, California, studying photography. I then started studying Spanish, Women's Studies, and Photography at the City College of San Francisco up until 2000. Then in 2000, I went to Madrid, Spain, to work on my Spanish and teach English. After, I studied at Mesa College, San Diego, and then transferred to Lewis & Clark College to finish my degree and study abroad in Chile.

Es una profesora cálida y paciente que se adapta de manera personalizada a tus necesidades de aprendizaje. Corrige tus errores con amabilidad y respeto. Además, habla español, por lo que, si te da miedo tomar clases con un profesor que solo habla inglés, la recomiendo totalmente.
