Heart

Heart works hard to push me out of my comfort zone and expose me to new grammar concepts. We discover these unfamiliar concepts through natural class progress and then practice together. I think it is important to have a teacher like Heart to help me achieve my full potential. I highly recommend Heart for others who have been learning for a while and want to break through a plateau.

Heart is an excellent teacher. She has helped me gain confidence in my speaking, as she creates an environment where I feel comfortable making mistakes, and she gently corrects them. I will continue to take classes with her in the future and highly recommend her.

Ms. Heart is amazing at explaining complicated grammar rules. As an English speaker I struggle a lot with understanding Korean grammar. She takes the time to explain grammar to me in a way that I understand. She has helped me improve a lot in a short time!

Sometimes it seems that the more I learn, the harder it is to express myself in Korean. Often, the way I would say something in English wouldn't make sense to Koreans, so trying to speak like a Korean at my level is a challenge (and often results in failure). Despite this, Heart maintains her patience and gives corrections that are appropriate to my level. Today, we spoke about my speech contest, comprehensible input, and how languages are or aren't changing as time goes on. My speaking skills are still very limited, so Heart encourages me to speak slowly and simply in order to express myself.
