Hello everyone! I’m a qualified Japanese teacher, Sachiko!
I teach Japanese to beginners and intermediate who are learning Japanese using illustrations (including my own hand-drawn ones) and anime characters. I do not provide lessons for children.
My hobby is watching anime. I've been really into Demon Slayer, Jujutsu Kaisen, Attack on Titan,
Frieren, Apothecary Diaries, and Golden Kamuy etc…lately.
I also enjoy drawing illustrations (My illustrations are on the "teachersachiko" instagram page.)
When I was a student, I used to cosplay at events like Comike and sell doujinshi.
I also love to travel abroad. I have traveled to more than 10 countries🇺🇸🇨🇳🇮🇳🇦🇺🇪🇬🇲🇾🇩🇪🇫🇮🇸🇬🇹🇼Me as a Teacher
Since I was a university student, I have studied various languages such as Chinese, Korean. Therefore, I understand your difficulties in learning Japanese.
I ’m a language learner too. English is a language that I have been studying for a long time. I respect people who can speak English or any other language that I have studied.
I think it is hard to control your motivation, especially when you are learning a language that isn't much of an opportunity to use in a daily life.
But the most important thing is enjoy learning.
I will listen to your interests and do my best to include as much as possible in the teaching materials. So, please tell me a lot about yourself in the first lesson!My lessons & teaching style

My teaching materials are based on the contents of the textbooks ( like “GENKI” and “Marugoto NIHONGO” ), and are original and designed specifically for you.

Sachiko-sensei is such a wonderful teacher! I’ve been taking lessons with her for about 9 months now and I can tell my Japanese is getting a lot better! Her lessons follow the Genki textbooks but the teaching tools she makes or draws are very helpful for illustrating the concepts for visual learners like myself. She also highlights Japanese culture with examples of her and her family’s own experiences! She’s a very joyous person and always patient! サチコさんは素晴らしい先生です！ My Japanese speaking skills have progressed so much thanks to Sachiko-sensei! Classes are fun and interactive, and she always makes sure to personalize them to my interests. We also spend some time doing speaking practice which is extremely helpful! If you're looking for excellent hands-on learning, Sachiko-sensei is the best.

I've been taking Japanese language lessons with Sachiko-san for a few years now, and I couldn't ask for a better tutor! She's always been so kind, patient, and helpful in reviewing lesson material with me. We recently completed the GENKI series of textbooks together and have moved to intermediate lessons, and I'm so excited to continue learning more Japanese vocabulary, grammar, and kanji.
I owe so much of my progress in reading, writing, and conversing in Japanese to my lessons with Sachiko-san. She's been a fantastic teacher and supporter!
