Are you ready to commit more time and energy to improving your English? Do you need a patient and professional native speaker to help you reach your potential through personalised lesson plans? I am from the UK and have lived in different countries and I know from my own experiences the ups and downs of learning a new language and the difference it makes to have a dedicated teacher who cares about your goals. When I'm not learning about new languages and cultures, I love drinking tea with friends, going on runs in nature, cooking new recipes and watching videos that make me laugh out loud.Me as a Teacher
I have been teaching adult students from all over the world since 2018. To me, it's the best job! I am always seeking to develop my skills as a teacher and have been exploring how to best use technology and AI to help my students with their progress. We can discuss anything and everything in my lessons. Holidays, social media, the news, sport, movies. I plan our lessons around the topics that are most important and interesting for your situation. We can practice conversations for Everyday English or maybe you want to improve your Business English for future job opportunities, important meetings or interviews. Or perhaps you want to prepare for exams in English? (eg. IELTS/Duolingo/Cambridge)My lessons & teaching style
No lesson is the same! We will discuss what you find difficult, what your goals are and how to achieve them together with a plan. I have great materials ready to share and maybe we will read an article and discuss it or watch a short video. Perhaps I'll ask you to describe some pictures to grow your vocabulary. I love roleplays to put it all into practice. After the lesson, I will send you the new words and if we have discussed some grammar areas to focus on, I will send you follow up materials/worksheets/homework to practice. This course helped me hugely at just the right time when Covid restrictions took teaching online. I learnt about and was tested on how to teach using different platforms (eg. interactive whiteboards). I learnt about student motivation and how to encourage them to reach their goals. I was taught how to do an online needs analysis and how to plan lessons and a curriculum using relevant materials for the right language level.
