Abighail

Abighail is an intuitive instructor who uses multiple feedback methods to ensure understanding between her and her students. I was mostly self taught when I met her, and she realized within one lesson that I had a hard time in hearing the words and identifying them - so she started typing them out on the screen as she spoke. My understanding and audible comprehension has gone up, as has my confidence. This is only one example of what she does to ensure that the student is comfortable and well positioned to improve. I highly recommend this instructor. Her expertise, patience, and professionalism is to be applauded.

Abighail is a superb teacher. This was my first lesson and afterwards I bought a package of ten lessons. She came with great materials and patiently corrected my many mistakes as we went through the materials. Afterwards, she provided a detailed list of mistakes so I can look them over. I strongly recommend Abighail's classes.

Abighail is very patient and adaptable with a variety of resources for all levels. Her professional experience teaching in Language Institutes shows as she makes lessons both instructive and fun with an approach customized to each student's interests and learning style.

Today Abighail and I practiced present tense verbs through conversation. Abighail kept a log of improvements/corrections which I can review in my own time and learn from, and gave me some homework to prepare for some upcoming topics/group classes (per my request). A great and well organised lesson ✨

Abighail is an amazing teacher. She is always on time, always ready to focus on the student, not grandstand on as the instructor. She really makes you come out of every lesson feeling like you learned something. She uses online handouts and works with an ANAYA Extranjera textbook, as well as keeping a running google document of your key areas needing improvement that you can access anytime. Her screen sharing game is amazing, and she runs through pdfs in real time with a highlighter in a way that gives an amazing level of immediate feedback. She works extremely hard to ensure you feel like the center of the class, and is very good at what she does. I cannot recommend her highly enough.

I had an excellent lesson with Abighail about the Spanish subjunctive. This really helped solidify my understanding of the subjunctive. She brought useful materials and her gentle suggestions to improve what I said really ironed out some kinks in my understanding of this complex topic.
