Hey there! My name is Femke, nice to meet you :)
Born and raised in the area of Amsterdam and having moved around the Netherlands, Iāve experienced life in the active big cities of the country, as well as itās calm, tiny villages.
Three years ago I took a leap and moved to Portugal, because I absolutely fell in love with the country. Now, Iām living in Porto and Iām more excited than ever to share my passion for teaching.

Languages have always fascinated me! Besides Dutch, I am fluent in English, speak Portuguese B2 level, and speak a little Spanish. Since Iāve gone through the language-learning journey myself, I know what works (and what doesnāt).
I love helping people gain confidence in speaking Dutch, and forming a connection with my students. I believe learning should be fun, meaningful, and adapted to each studentās needs. Everyone learns differently, so I personalize my lessons to make sure they fit your learning style. My goal is to create a relaxed and enjoyable learning environment where you can learn at your own pace and gradually improve with confidence :)My lessons & teaching style
My lessons are designed to be interactive and engaging. We can focus on conversation, reading, listening, music, or a mixāwhatever suits you best! If you already know what works for you, great! If not, let's figure it out together. I also love incorporating topics that interest you, so learning Dutch feels natural and enjoyable.
