Hi, I’m a Japanese tutor, Aki.
I'm from Osaka/Japan, in 2016 I've moved to Tokyo for work.
I've studied English and French at college. After graduation, I continued to learn English from westerners on a private basis. As for French, I've also studied it in Tunisia for 8 months.
Since I have been communicating with foreigners, and I respect their cultures and values. But I also learned the importance of expressing my opinion clearly in Tunisia.Me as a Teacher
I've started teaching Japanese in 2011.
Until 2 years ago, I used to teach Japanese on italki as a communication tutor.
While my absence, I’ve studied Japanese education at university to get a certificate in teaching Japanese, then I'm back again!
My students say I’m friendly and patient. But I can be strict too.
At least, my potential students must be able to read and write hiragana and katakana correctly.
I will not accept students who...
- always rely on romanization.
- avoid reading and writing kanji.
- don't make effort by themselves.
- do not turn up without giving me prior notice.
- send me sudden rescheduling requests.
Rescheduling is acceptable before 12 hours.My lessons & teaching style

I can teach you useful words and phrases and manners in the Japanese workplace especially for those who are working or would like to work in Japanese companies.
I have more than 10 years of experience in the web and IT industry, and I can teach you the terminology used in the industry.

Japanese language teacherI've started teaching Japanese because my ex-husband was a foreigner. He came from Tunisia and his Japanese level was absolutely zero. But I taught him Japanese from writing hiragana and katakana. Now he's working for a company in Kobe.
I used to teach Japanese on italki around 2017. I was just a community tutor, but most of my students required me at higher level of Japanese grammar or vocabulary, not only a free-conversation. So I decided to get a certificate of teaching Japanese.

Had a very productive lesson with Aki sensei today. Today we focused in all grammar points in Genki 1's Chapter 4.
There are times that I find it confusing, but Aki sensei is patient with me. And corrects my mistakes and give me some tips in how can I say it naturally.
Looking forward with my next lesson with her.

Aki-san is a wonderful classic teacher. I had a trial lesson and it was great. We practiced grammar topics that I had requested before, we also had a nice talk about daily life things. Very nice and professional atmosphere. Highly recommend the teacher.
