¡Hola! ¿Cómo estás? My name is Ale, I'm Mexican and I'd love to be your Spanish teacher!
I live in the city of Guanajuato, Mexico. I am deeply passionate about linguistics, music, movies, literature, and politics. I also have a strong interest in learning about different languages and cultures. I’m always open to learning and discussing a wide range of topics.
I hold a Bachelor's degree in Teaching Spanish as a Second Language from the University of Guanajuato, as well as a diploma in Translation.
Me as a Teacher
I have been teaching Spanish online for over five years. My goal is to create a supportive learning environment where you feel comfortable making mistakes and learning from them. In my classes, I want my students to feel like they're talking with a friend.
I'm currently learning Japanese, so I totally understand what it's like to be a language student and the challenges that come with it.
I have a B2 level of English, so we can use it to address any challenge that may arise in our class.
My lessons & teaching style
Why do you want to learn Spanish? This question is important to me because your response will help me adapt the lessons to your specific learning goals and interests.
I believe it is essential to incorporate a variety of activities to practice all four language skills: writing, reading, speaking, and listening. For beginners, I strongly recommend starting with the fundamentals of grammar. Once you have a solid foundation, we can immediately apply this knowledge in conversational classes focused on current topics of your interest.
If you'd like, I could also give you assignments to keep improving your Spanish in your free time.

Ale is an incredible teacher and I always looked forward to our classes. I met with her for about 4 months in preparation for an upcoming medical Spanish class I was taking at college. Through conversation and different grammar exercises I saw myself significantly improve in both my vocabulary and grammar. Ale is a great conversationalist and our topics of conversation ranged a variety of interesting topics. I really appreciated how easy she was to talk to and despite my Spanish not being being the best, I never felt pressure to speak perfectly and because of this I definitely became more confident in my Spanish. I would highly recommend Ale to anyone learning Spanish!
Ale is incredibly patient and continues to smile as she helps me struggle through the language. The sessions are fun and lively, and she combines a conversational meeting with the necessary grammar when needed. She's great.

Ale and I have great conversations discussing a myriad of topics. She has helped me to understand the Mexican culture and its nuances. She has taught me local idioms to help me blend in on trips that I take to Mexico.
Ale is very patient and insightful, helping me navigate through grammatical minefields and to understand why Spanish is phrased the way it is in many circumstances.
She provides great learning tools and various activities. I highly recommend Ale as a great teacher to beginners as well as to advanced students.
