Hello, I'm Nat(Natsu). I'm 35 years old, a native speaker of Japanese. I love traveling and have been to many countries. I also like watching movies and painting at home. I learn English and Spanish, so I do understand the feeling of learning another language. Actually I take lessons as a student sometimes! I give fun and easy-going lessons, so let's relax and talk!

I started teaching Japanese as a community tutor on italki in 2021, and passed the JLTCT in 2022 and got qualified.
For me, the most important thing in communication is "empathy".
I've been learning English and Spanish so I understand how hard to study other language. I also take lessons on italki as a student sometimes and that experience often helps me improve my teaching skills.
I would like to provide the lessons that make students to feel positive and comfortable.

My teaching style is casual, interactive and balanced.
There are two things I would like my students to experience through my lessons:
(1) Get used to communicating in Japanese and gain your confidence instead of worrying about mistakes
(2) Discover and experience what you can not learn from only textbooks or self-study
I ask the students about their needs, interests and goals at first. Then I customize the lessons to fit in best with each student. Please relax and enjoy learning Japanese with me!

Nat is the best teacher I have had. She sets goals for the lesson and explains things so well. We have our class in Japanese but if I don’t know a word in Japanese she is always able to help me with English. Always learning so much ☺️

I have been studying with Nat for months, and can‘t recommend her enough. She is very patient and gives creative, easy to understand explanations for words or expressions I dont understand yet. She makes it easy to carry a conversation and is always pleasant and kind. I also like that she has been slowly increasing the difficulty of the material we use according to my level - that has been immensly useful for the development of my japanese skills. I hop to continue studying with her for a long time!

She is so kind and very patient. I have difficulties remembering all the vocabulary, but she encourages me! I can really recommend her if you study with the Genki book!
