Hello, I am Derian Chen, my Chinese name is 陈智福 (Chén Zhìfú), and I am 华人 (Huá Rén), which means Chinese ethnicity or descent, regardless of nationality. I was born in Indonesia and raised in a Chinese overseas community. My ancestors came from Fujian province, China.
I have over 5 years of teaching experience, having started my career in high school. I hold both a Bachelor’s Degree and a Master’s Degree, with my Master’s focused on teaching Chinese to foreigners. I am fluent in English, so during the class, when I am explaining grammar and new words, there won’t be a language barrier.Me as a Teacher
as a teacher, I use different techniques and teaching methods. I don't use only one book and or one internet resource, I use different books to give a comprehensive understanding of Chinese language Speaking, listening, reading and writing are essential while learning Chinese. My responsibility is to introduce the characters in visual form, let the student understand from which strokes every character consists, develop listing and writing skills, practicing tones until they start to come naturally. together we will learn Chinese from the very basic structures to advanced. So you will be able to understand and express yourself in Chinese.My lessons & teaching style

I help students with HSK exam preparations, Chinese business communication, daily conversations, travel to China, university preparations, and homework assistance. Today I had another great lesson with Chen.He's a very good teacher.He's very patient. he taught me all the stuff. I needed to work on through this week. And I'm really happy about how I feel. My Chinese has been improving and he's also recognize some stuff. I have to work on, but that's super good. Because I have the opportunity to keep growing and be better at this super complicated language. That is Chinese, but with Chen's help. I'm improving my language skills and I'm really happy. 😃👋🖊🇨🇳🎒
