On a trip to Argentina, I sat down next to an older lady who said many things to me, none of which I understood. I vowed to myself, then, I would always learn some of the language before going anywhere.
I try to learn whatever I can. The game Go for example, is constantly showing me how many secrets it holds, which is why I have spent so much time on it. That said, no matter how hard I try, quantum mechanics still leaves me confounded.Me as a Teacher
Homeschooling my Children since Covid began has been a fun challenge looking for good materials to learn with and look for opportunities to challenge them.
Building stories and practising telling those stories has been a helpful tool for growing our confidence speaking.My lessons & teaching style
Primarily I will be a conversation partner, so happy to talk about whatever you would like to, however sometimes it can be tricky to get started, so I will always bring a set of conversation starters to each lesson. If they are not needed, that is great, but it's good to get us both talking about subjects we are less familiar with as there are more opportunities for learning.My teaching material
