InterestsArtMusicFilms & TV Series
I enjoy deep conversations, find peace in organization, and music is essential to my daily life (especially when doing house chores). I was part of an improv group and a theater group (and am currently exploring musical theater), which has enriched my teaching by bringing creativity and spontaneity into my lessons. Art and languages have always been with me. As a shy boy, I found comfort in TV, drawing characters and mimicking accents. These experiences sparked my love for creativity and the English language, which has grown through music, dancing, and acting, eventually becoming my lifelong passion.
Note: I would really like to participate in an English-language play.
Me as a Teacher
I hold a degree in English Philology and have been teaching for almost six years—time really does fly!
My teaching approach centers on truly listening to my students and understanding their unique needs, as I believe that language becomes most effective when it aligns with your interests and passions.
Whether you're diving into perfecting pronunciation, refining grammar or exploring cultural nuances, our lessons will be tailored to your goals.
With this in mind, I’m always excited to learn from my students, so feel free to share any topic you're passionate about—I'm here to explore it with you!
My lessons & teaching style
Once we get to know each other and understand your specific needs, my lessons are structured around the PPP (Presentation, Practice, Production) model.
This approach ensures that we have time for interactive activities, independent practice, and immediate feedback.
I incorporate games to set the mood and review vocabulary, along with discussions, grammar exercises, and focused pronunciation and intonation sessions (which I pay particular attention to).
While I generally follow a project-based learning approach, where each lesson builds on the last, I’m flexible and can adapt the method to best suit your learning style and schedule ;)

James is attentive, engaging and knowledgable. He comes up with creative ideas for working on a specific issue (in my case, pronunciation). I highly recommend working with him.

James creates various games that are fun and cause me to leave my comfort zone in a way that facilitates growth in my Spanish. He rocks.
