Jessie Expert TOPIK

My lesson with Teacher Jessie was really fun and it helped me a lot with learning Korean grammar! Her explanations were very detailed and encourages me to use Korean as much as possible. Although I am not very confident with my Korean grammar and pronunciation, I felt really comfortable speaking only Korean throughout the lesson and I am looking forward to my next one!

Having learnt Korean for 10 years, today’s first class was one of the most interesting, fun and engaging classes I have had yet. We had first read an article sharing on an issue faced in Korea which formed a base for a debate (토론) like exercise. At the end of each mini discussion, we had a short summary and review of the points and at the end, had joined it together as a mini speech/ report which would be excellent practice for anyone wanting to take TOPIK or improve overall conversation in Korean (especially in sharing thoughts on current news and controversial topics). Overall, would recommend this class highly to any mid/high-intermediate and advanced students as it’s a class that is very focused on helping you express your own thoughts but with slight tweaks and improvements. Thank you for the brilliant class!

I was referred by a friend that passed level 6 of TOPIK 2 through taking lessons with Jessie. I've been taking lessons with Jessie for over 3 months now in order to prepare for my first time taking the TOPIK 2, in which I'm aiming to pass level 6 (the highest level). Lessons with Jessie are always fun and informative, and she really caters the lesson to each individual. She has created a curriculum to prepare me for taking the TOPIK based on when I want to take the test. I also feel that the homework assignments and study materials are really useful.

This lesson was focused on clothing, colors and clearing up some confusing things that come up from English. Jessie explains these subtle differences in a very easy way and gives suggestions on what to practice!

We continued the review of past lessons this week as week as well while adding more and more complexity with context, vocabulary and grammar I've studied so far. Also adding some TOPIK like questions here and there. Doing this review I can see how far I got in these past years and even though the progress is slower the further I go, with this I can see the results of the effort I put into learning Korean!

Today's class was super fun as well, just the best 🙌
