Since 2013, I am a French teacher at the “French Institute". I have received special training to teach in a fun way while taking into account the psychological constitution of each learner. I am responsible of several classes of foreign students, some with children, some with students and others with adults, from level A1 to B2. I am a DELF / DALF corrector-examiner and authorized to give the TCF (Test de Connaissance en Français). I also give private French lessons online (Zoom, Microsoft Teams, and Skype). I recently graduated with DDIFOS (Diplôme Didactique du Français sur Objectif Specific) which allows me to teach French in business companies.

I’m very familiar with learning and teaching new languages! I really love learning languages and practicing them with people. I particularly enjoy speaking with so many different people and about all kinds of subjects and then seeing how they make progress, it’s a really rewarding experience and I want to continue doing that in the future. It’s also thanks to Italki that I decided to start a career in language teaching.

I Know how important patience is in learning. So I develop a friendly environment in order to put the learner at ease before moving on to the lesson itself. The learner interacts during the course which facilitates assimilation. In case of difficulty, I use other approaches allowing him to better understand his lesson. Basically the teaching method varies depending on the type of learner.

If you like structure and challenge in your learning without the performative drills and rigidity of a "traditional" classroom, my lessons might be for you. Here, we use the target language whether you're a beginner or advanced. We listen to and discuss my stories adapted to your level. The challenge of language learning is learning to tolerate ambiguity. You won't understand every word. The verb used in Spanish will not always correspond to a literal translation of an English sentence. In my experience, the most successful learners relinquish the compulsive need to understand every single word or question why one "has" (tener/avoir) a number of years in Spanish and French, but "are" an age in English, before they engage with the language. If the goal is to understand and speak the language, this need becomes a hindrance. Ever wondered why many people can't speak a word of Spanish or French despite years of instruction at school?
