I'm originally from Austin, Texas, United States and I speak with a neutral North American accent in English and a standard Parisian accent in French. (I also speak Portuguese because I live with my wife in Brazil!). My reason for being is to learn as much as I can about the world and the people who inhabit it. I have a passion for adventure, studying languages, making connections, music of all kinds (especially music from Brazil), good tea, astronomy, and I'm a terrible skateboarder (yet I do it anyway). Ultimately, I believe that the key to language aquisition is through motivation, immersion, and comprehensible input which is reflected in my teaching style. I have been working as a French teacher in Vietnam for 5 years. Before going to Vietnam, I also had the opportunity to work as a teacher in Australia and Thailand. In Australia, I worked in Sydney for 6 months as a private French tutor and gave private lessons to more than 20 students. In Thailand, I taught English for 2 months in a primary school as a volunteer.
