After studying German as ,,a foreign language " at LMU Munich, I emigrated to Colombia (Bogotá), where I taught German for 4 years at the Goethe Institute. During this time I continued my education and after 2 years I obtained the Grünes Deutsches Diplom (DLL Deutsch Lehrer Lernen). Since I am back in Germany (2 years) I have been teaching German at GLS German Language School in Berlin (I have also experience in Online classes)

Speak German Naturally – With Guidance, Structure, and Joy I began teaching German professionally in 2017. In a refugee education project, I worked with mixed-level groups — from literacy classes all the way to B2. My focus was always on communication and pronunciation, helping learners use the language confidently from the very beginning. To bring German to life, I organized trips and excursions connected to our lesson topics, giving students the chance to apply what they learned in real situations. For me, this is the most powerful motivation in language learning: experiencing that you can use the language in everyday life!

As a community teacher, my goal will be to bring my passion for the German language into lessons. I am always willing to adapt to any student's needs. My hope is to effectively teach practical German, not just textbook language.

This is not about “covering the material.” It is about being in dialogue, attention, and real connection. I hold a Master’s in Pedagogy (Switzerland) and a Bachelor in Pedagogy (Russia), and I have Goethe Certificate C2 in German (2023) and C1 in English (2021) + Russian and Spanish. I have over 10 years of experience teaching children and adults in schools and language centers (Moscow, Bern, Malta, Barcelona). Here, it’s not about being perfect. It’s about being engaged. I have studied some dozen or so languages to varying degrees, so I’m quite experienced with various methods of learning. I have also taught classes in university before, both language and otherwise.

Approachable, curious, genuine ... somewhat silly. 😌 I do not offer grammar lessons, and I work exclusively with fluent speakers. My lessons are laid back. I am good at listening, helping you find the right words, and I'll correct you if necessary. I will also type the words down in the chat if you find it useful. Session recordings are welcome.

Speaking is the best way to learn a language, so my lessons usually center around having an actual conversation in German, but I will also give you grammar instructions and help you with pronunciation as and when necessary. If you struggle with any particular grammar topic, we can of course also dedicate a whole lesson to that. Generally I'm happy to adapt myself to your needs and preferences. While we talk, I make extensive notes in a google document, I write down new vocabulary with example sentences, grammar instructions, corrections, etc. You'll have access to this document during and after the classes.
