My teaching style is very open minded and flexible. During the intro I find out what the students require and how committed they are to their goals. I adapt my style to theirs: with some students I will be more laid back and with the more ambitious and focused ones (my favorites) I will more actively plan ahead. Both will get links to their hobbies/profession/studies. i am known to be "living with my students" and rejoice at their success e.g. passing the language to get the visa to reside in the UK.

In a refugee education project, I worked with mixed-level groups — from literacy classes all the way to B2. My focus was always on communication and pronunciation, helping learners use the language confidently from the very beginning. To bring German to life, I organized trips and excursions connected to our lesson topics, giving students the chance to apply what they learned in real situations. For me, this is the most powerful motivation in language learning: experiencing that you can use the language in everyday life!

My work as a teacher includes teaching groups, kids and private students and preparing them for exams from beginners to B2. Some of my students want to improve their skills in order to study in Germany or a German-speaking country. Others need to improve their language skills because of their work in a corporate environment.
