Dec 25–Feb 9 | Colombia Time Zone I have been teaching Japanese on Italki since 2020. Since I loved this job, I quit my corporate job and completed a 420-hour teaching certification course. As I believe learning should be enjoyable and relaxed, I try to create a fun learning environment. Since I've learned Spanish, I know how hard it is to learn other languages. Professional qualified teacher who has taught at a Japanese language school in the Los Angeles area Beginners with Genki 1 & Genki 2 are welcome. As I reflect back on the various occupations I’ve had, I see a common ground in all of them; a teacher. I have taught English in Prep Schools, I was a Christian Pastor teaching the Bible in churches, I was a communication skills trainer at the mentally handicapped training center and now I am a Japanese language teacher for foreigners and missionaries. The greatest joy as a teacher is to share the moment with the student when the unknown becomes known and understood. There is joy in understanding intellectually with the mind, as well as the excitement of understanding with the heart. I teach with Genki 1 for beginners and Genki 2.

What you have to do is just hearing Japanese language a lot, like podcasts, movies, animes, music,YouTube videos etc... and speak it . I believe that helps you to pick up words and sentence structures naturally. And you can also pick up native terms from it as well. That will help you speaking Japanese a lot. I started teaching Japanese at language school in Osaka in 2008. There, I gained experience of teaching Japanese to foreign students from all over the world. I'm accepting new students! I have extensive experience teaching. I've taught English for about ten years and Japanese for three years in a group lessons, one on one and online. I adjust lessons for each of you and your level of Japanese skills. I use some textbooks or an original material that I make and I will send you on each lessons. I will prepare your homework or extra worksheets if you need. I'll lead you and encourage Japanese conversation throughout the lessons. I want my students always be comfortable with me during my lessons so if you have any questions, feel free to ask me anything anytime.

I completed all the requirements of Japanese Languages Teacher (420 hours). And I have Bachelor of Commerce and I’m qualified for a financial planner. And I passed the English proficiency test (Eiken) grade 2. I strongly believe that a good portion of any lesson should feature at least some speaking practice and so I aim to create a relaxed atmosphere where you feel you can make mistakes. I encourage you not to be afraid to make mistakes, because when you learn from your mistakes, that is how you progress. I will do corrections throughout the lesson or at the end of the lesson, depending on the pace. I'd love to help you fulfill your dreams and achieve your goals :)

Since I am good at speaking in English, I teach English as well. I studied English and Psychology at University of Arkansas at Little Rock while I was working as a full time. When I don't teach, I like to just relax, eating sweets, watching movies, walking at the park, going to the gym, shooting hoops, a listening to the student's violin recital at the Juilliard, some readings, coloring and knitting straight line scurf.
