I was a volunteer sent by the Japanese government and taught at the Foreign Service Institute of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. My students at that time were all adults mainly government officials. After that I went to New Zealand to continue teaching Japanese at a university and also secondary schools. Upon returning to Japan, I taught English to the young Japanese volunteers who were going out to some developing countries for their tasks. Aside from the many years of teaching experiences, my knowledge of multiple languages helps understand the students' psychology and I can help them effectively.

After retiring at the age of 45, my daily work is investing in stocks, bonds, mutual funds, and currencies, which I have been doing continuously since I was young. After completing the Japanese teacher training course at the age of 47, I started teaching Japanese in Latin America, mainly in Mexico and Colombia. Due to the pandemic, all schools were closed, so I started teaching online. My experience teaching online began in 2020. My personal areas of expertise: economics, politics, management, taxation, marine mammals, travel, scuba diving, surfing, Latin America, music, and musical instruments.

My mother-tongue is Korean. But I've learned English, Japanese and Chinese. So I truly understand how difficult learning languages is. I'm very positive, patient and enthusiastic. And I prepare each lesson only for A student. For example, if a student has a tendency to make mistakes using the present perfect, I usually prepare more focused lessons that he or she can repeatedly practice using the present perfect. I believe you could learn more through the mistakes that you make. And I will be there for you to correct or coach whenever you need it. You are going to be very very proud of yourself in the end.
